Bring your leads over from a spreadsheet
You can move a list of leads into Sunbear in a few minutes. Sunbear reads a file called a CSV, which is a plain table that every spreadsheet program can save. Nothing is added until you have checked it.
Step 1: Save your sheet as a CSV
- Google Sheets: open the sheet, tap File, then Download, then Comma Separated Values (.csv).
- Excel: tap File, then Save As, and choose CSV (Comma delimited) from the list of types.
- Numbers on a Mac: tap File, then Export To, then CSV.
The first row of your sheet should hold the column names, like Name, Phone and Note. Your file can have up to 500 rows at a time, and you can import again for the next batch.
Step 2: Open the import page
In Sunbear, open Me, then tap Import leads from a sheet.
Step 3: Choose your file
Tap Choose your .csv file and pick the file you saved. You can also copy rows from your sheet and paste them into the box below it.
Step 4: Check the columns
Sunbear guesses which column is which, such as first name, phone and note, and shows you its guesses. Change any that are wrong. A first name and a phone number are needed for every lead. Rows that cannot be used are listed with the reason, and they are skipped.
Step 5: Import
Tap the import button. You will see how many leads were added. A lead whose phone number is already in Sunbear is skipped, so importing the same file twice does not make doubles.
Want a template?
On the import page, tap Download the template. It has the right columns in the right order and one sample row. Fill it in with Google Sheets or Excel, save it as a CSV and follow the steps above. Rows that start with (example) are skipped.
Tips
- Put first name and last name in separate columns. A single Name column also works and is split at the first space.
- Write phone numbers from other countries with the country code, like +65 9123 4567. Local numbers can be written the way you normally write them.
- Write dates as 2026-10-15 (year, month, day).
- Write amounts as numbers, like 9750.
- If a file will not open, save it again as a plain CSV. Do not use CSV with a different name, such as CSV UTF-16.
Something still not working? Send us a message with the first few rows of your file (change the names and numbers first if you prefer).
